Scholarships and School-Based Practical Studies (SPS) at German Schools in Latin America
Following the University of Kassel’s first participation in the university fair of German schools in Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, and Ecuador in March of this year, letters of intent were signed between the University of Kassel and seven German schools. In addition, a BIDS funding application was submitted to the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) on 11 July 2018 by Professors Rita Borromeo Ferri, David di Fuccia, and Andreas Meister. This application supports scholarships for first-year students from German schools abroad, funds for teacher training, as well as the implementation of school-based practical studies at German schools in South America—thereby contributing to the internationalization of teacher education.
